From shattering stereotypes to fighting racism, bullying, and prejudice. I am in love with how Hasnain A Syed has dealt with the topics so beautifully

“I used to think poems were written by people in love, or people in some kind of an ordeal.. A form of art that you appreciate, but cant necessarily relate to. Little did I know, there could be such raw, beautiful beautiful poems out there for everyone, about everything.
Of course, there WAS love, loss and suffering. But in many more ways than just the one. Love for parents. Loss of a dear friend. Suffering at the hands of racism.
Religion. God. Marriage. One-sided love. Regrets. Deception.
From haunting, but beautiful poems that occupy multiple pages of the book, to a sentence or two long ones that give you goosebumps (‘If I may remind you, you are but I am too’) , Come What May covered it all.
Amidst the pages of this book, you’ll find yourself.
I know I did.”

“Okay this was a dillema.
Because I wanted to rate the book 4.5 but that’s not an option. So i had to choose between 4 and 5. 4 seems less so rounding off to 5.
I’m not a poetry guy but my girlfriend gifted this to me because she wanted me to read some poems where the writer talks about emotional detachment. ..and Boy, I couldn’t stop reading.
Also, this has poems and some really moving letters too. So yeah. Be prepared to be a little wrecked for some time after you turn the last page.”

“It’s a small collection of poems but it holds within an endless universe of deprived emotions, unrelenting hope and strength to rise again, in the same order. It’s not a book you read once and set aside. It’s a book you want to read time and again to derive hope in desperate times. It doesn’t talk about stars and galaxies, rather it tiptoes on our deepest emotions that’s why you feel like these words are your own. It’s a must read!! A beautiful rendition!”

I was gifted this by my son and it’s never left my side table since. A poem for every day.”

“It’s astonishing to read how someone else can describe deep emotions of your heart so amazingly. Come What May is an absolute melody of sensitive yet bold topics and inspires you to see the world through someone else’s eyes who might not be as privileged as your own self. The words of this book made me empathize with humans whose lives never crossed my mind. In short, I would totally recommend this book for its positive and compassionate view of life.”
